On November 16, the Kunstpalast and Fortuna Düsseldorf are hosting a special eSports event: Beat the Pro! Here, gaming fans will have the chance to compete against eSports players Kai “Hensoo” Hense & Fabio “F95_Fabio” Immerthal from Fortuna Düsseldorf in the EA Sports FC 25 soccer video game in front of a big screen in the Robert Schumann Hall and put their skills to the test. This is the first eSports event of this size to be held in an art museum in German-speaking countries. The matches will be played 1 vs. 1. Take your chance and challenge the pros! You can win F95 gaming jerseys and free tickets for a Fortuna game and the Kunstpalast.

eSports (electronic sports) refers to organized video game competitions in which individual players or teams compete against each other. Similar to traditional sports, there are leagues, tournaments and championships in eSports. eSports has developed enormously in recent years and has become a global industry with millions of spectators who cheer both online and in stadiums. Fortuna Düsseldorf is actively involved in this growing sector and, in addition to the Bundesliga soccer team, has had a successful eSports team in the VBL (Virtual Bundesliga) since 2023, which competes in national and international tournaments.
