The Kunstpalast is a house full of history, which thrives on the commitment of its patrons and supporters. We would like to thank our partners for their excellent cooperation and support in recent years.

Trusts and Foundations

In keeping with our mission statement, it is our aim to make our collection accessible to a broad audience. In doing so, we are committed to high scholarly standards and to the original tasks of a museum to collect, preserve and conduct research. An important contribution to our aims is made by trusts and foundations, who frequently sponsor our publication of catalogues, restoration projects and educational endeavours.

Individual Sponsorship

Private donors have a wide range of possibilities to offer the Kunstpalast their support; whether it be monetary endowment contributions, the donation of artworks, monetary and donations in kind, as well as bequests.

Sponsors from the US

Our friends and supporters based in the United States can support our activities through a contribution to the American Friends of Stiftung Museum Kunstpalast (the “Fund”) at the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS), a U.S. public charity within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors may be eligible for a U.S. income tax deduction for their contributions to the extent permitted by U.S. tax law. In accordance with U.S. tax law, KBFUS retains complete control and discretion over amounts contributed to the Fund.

Patronage

Jointly with our private patrons we would like to continue the tradition of civic engagement that has always been a key foundation of the Kunstpalast. By joining the circle of patrons with an annual, tax-deductible donation of € 10,000 or more for the duration of a minimum of three years, you make a substantial contribution to this process and are invited to decide, in consultation with the Director General, upon the allocation of funds. Patrons receive our utmost attention. Those who are interested in becoming a member are invited to contact the person in charge of the circle of patrons, Mrs Tatjana Kimmel, or the Director General.

Corporate Sponsorship

Many of our sponsors support the Kunstpalast as part of a long-term partnership or as sponsors of selected exhibitions as a means to express their commitment to the arts in the region. In return, our sponsors benefit from a broad medial presence and a variety of options to present their company within an appealing environment and context – as part of our exhibition campaigns we assist them in reaching an arts-inclined public in the Rhineland region and environs. Moreover, our sponsors have the option to use our representative premises for corporate events and receptions. Guided tours, exclusive previews and themed workshops offer their staff and clients the opportunity to acquaint themselves at greater depth with the museum and its exhibitions. We are very happy to compose an individual sponsorship concept for your company.

Museum Gallery Sponsorship

Since the reopening of the collection in 2023, companies, foundations and private individuals have been able to get involved with the Kunstpalast in a special way by becoming a museum gallery sponsor. Sponsoring one of the 44 rooms in the permanent collection for at least three years offers a long-term opportunity to participate in our museum work and support it financially. We attach particular importance to working together with private individuals and companies that are anchored in the region and which we, as the municipal museum of Düsseldorf, would like to involve in the cultural events.
